Welcome to the Alumni page of Leeds Beckett University Hockey Club
Alumni of this prestigious hockey club are more than just a group of people who once attended the university and have no involvement with it once they graduate.
We all spent many fantastic hours during our 3, 4, 5 years (sometimes longer) at the university and we like to regularly catch up and re-live the amazing experiences from our Beckett Park days.
Sam Quek and Alastair Brogdon are both alumni who have represented GB at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The Main Event!
Once a year, over the Late May Bank Holiday Weekend, Alumni from throughout the years descend on Headingley in an attempt to make everyone believe that they are still students.
Contrary to popular belief, hockey is played. 4 games in fact. For the more competitive old boys and girls, a men's and women's alumni 1st XI will take on the current university men's and women's teams. For those who are more about re-living their Wednesday nights in Oceana (or Pryzm as they insist on calling it these days), the club fixtures will more than suffice.
The day is more about catching up with your old team mates, some you may not have seen since that fateful day you graduated and entered into the "real world," and of course we head into town after it all.
